Southern California Special Hockey Tournament in Valencia, CA

ASHA, Valencia S.N.A.P. Flyers, California Condors and Pasadena Maple Leafs to kick off the first-ever Western Region Special Hockey Tournament.

 

VALENCIA, CA -April 5, 2013 - ASHA (American Special Hockey Association), USA Hockey and the Valencia S.N.A.P Flyers are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Special Hockey Festival to be held June 1, 2013, at the Ice Station in Valencia, CA.

The innaragral SoCal Special Hockey Festival will provide a fun and exciting day of ice hockey in Southern California, as well as promote and grow special hockey throughout the region. The Festival will be managed by the Santa Clarita non-profit, Bridges to Ability Foundation, whose mission seeks to improve the lives of teens, adults and seniors with developmental disabilities through quality vocational, athletic, educational, social, and recreational programs.

The Festival will feature the California Condors from Panorama City, CA, the Pasadena Maple Leafs and hosts Valencia SNAP Flyers. Each team will Field a single squad with all skill levels combined, with rosters broken down by skill level; coaches will pre-determine match-ups prior to play. All players & coaches must be registered with USA Hockey and have proof of registration in hand at the festival.

Festival play begins Saturday morning June 1st, and continues through late afternoon. A festival luncheon “Pizza Party” is open to all players and their families. Additionally, two (2) one-hour instructional clinics will be offered to all players, with the awards presentation scheduled for 4:30pm.

There is no-cost for festival activities which include a two-game guarantee, Pizza Party Luncheon, 2- one-hour instructional clinics, and awards for all players.
