Dear Family, Friends, Coworkers, Fraternalists and all you Special People,

I will be participating in my first-ever marathon on Oct 14th this year. It will be held on Mount Desert Island in Maine (which itself is a marathon for the car!). I am also taking the opportunity to make the most out of my expected pain by raising money and awareness for American Special Hockey Associated (ASHA) in conjunction with my fraternal brothers and sisters at United Commercial Travelers (UCT).

UCT is a special non-profit community outreach organization dedicated to helping communities and special causes such as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across North America. http://www.uct.org or http://www.uct.org/uct-in-action/asha-shi/

ASHA is a non-profit volunteer-driven association created especially to benefit hockey players with disabilities such as autism and Downs syndrome. AHSA’s programs give people of all ages and abilities a chance to learn and grow by playing hockey. http://americanspecialhockey.org/frontpage

Please visit the webpage I have created to make a donation. http://www.crowdrise.com/JeffMassesRunforASHA

If you are uncomfortable making donations online, feel free to send your donation to:

Jeffrey Masse, 439 Proctor Road, Manchester NH 03109

Or

American Special Hockey Association, 1726 Leisure Way, Crofton, MD 21114

Be sure to include a reference about Jeff’s First Marathon on the check’s memo line. Most of all, even if you can't donate, please visit my charitable webpage to at least leave a comment (positive I hope).

Special note to UCT council members:

Please talk to your councils about making a council donation and while you are at it, spread the word. If you know someone from a more distant council, do not hesitate to call or forward this email to elicit their help as well.
